We woke up to ice this morning and roofs covered in white! :) perfect day to make some chili, Texas Chili!!
Do you put beans in your chili? We sometimes do but this Texas Chili doesn’t have any in it!
Ingredients:
- 1lb ground beef
- Olive oil
- 2 Jalapenos
- 1 onion
- 1 green bell pepper
- 1 can crushed tomato
- 1 can tomato sauce
- paprika
- chili powder
- garlic powder
- oregano
- salt & pepper
- cumin
- cayenne pepper
- sour cream
- cheese
- Fritos (we use Pork Rinds for keto)
Directions:
1. Cut up jalapeño, half an onion and bell pepper, add a little oil into a pot and pour all of that in and sauté a little bit. (Save 1 jalapeño and rest of onion for toppings!)
2. Add in the ground beef, mix up and let cook. Add in all seasonings. Now with me I never measure I just pour in about how much I think. Don't over do it on the chili powder you don't want it grainy. With the cayenne pepper add as little or as much as you want for the spice. Always put a little in and then taste (with any seasoning to see what it needs.) Message me if you have any questions on the seasoning.
3. Let that cook for just a few minutes, then add in 1 can crushed tomato, and 1 can tomato sauce. Stir it up and put the lid on!
4. I put this all on the stove at 2pm and then I let it cook until about 7pm on LOW!
5. Once done, add into bowl. Top with your favorite toppings! (sour cream, jalapeños, green onions, onion, cheese, Fritos, Pork Rinds.)
6. Enjoy!!
XOXO!
