Spicy Shrimp Tacos

Spicy Shrimp Tacos

These spicy shrimp tacos you can really do any way, we did ours on the grill and my husband wanted them to be saucy. So we just whipped up a spicy sauce from what we had at home. Of course these would be so much better on a corn or flour tortilla but we are trying to eat better!

Ingredients:

Bag of frozen or fresh shrimp
2 avacados
4-5 garlic cloves chopped
1 tomato
1 jalapeño
1 onion
1 1/2 limes
Cilantro
1/2 can of tomato sauce
1/4 cup- 1/2 cup depending on spice of El Gallo jalapeño salsa
A few squeezes of Humble house Guajillo and red jalapeño garlic sauce
4 cloves of garlic chopped
Cumin
Chili powder
Garlic powder
Paprika
Cayenne
Salt & pepper
Taco seasoning
Lettuce wraps
Shredded cheese

Directions:

Avacado cilantro spread:
1. Cut open two avacado and place in bowl, add half a lime, season all and a bunch of chopped cilantro.
2. Stir until your desired consistency.

Pico:
1. Cut up an onion, jalapeño and tomato and place in a bowl.
2. Add a dash of salt, pepper, garlic powder and a little taco seasoning.
3. Stir around and add lime juice and chopped up cilantro.

Shrimp:
1. Get your grill heated, we have a pellet grill and let it smoke then set the temperature at 300 degrees.
2. Rinse your shrimp and make sure they are peeled and deveined. Once rinsed, pat dry and place on a pan sheet. Go ahead and season them on both sides with cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, paprika and cayenne.
3. If you use skewers make sure to soak the wooden ones before you place the shrimp on them.
4. Now in a castiron skillet add half can of tomato sauce, chopped garlic, El Gallo jalapeño sauce,
5. Place the sauce on the grill and the shrimp, cook shrimp 3-5 minutes on each side then place into your sauce and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side.
6. Now make sure you lettuce is washed, and cheese is shredded! Place your lettuce wraps down, avacado cilantro spread, shrimp, cheese and pico!! Enjoy!!!
